Question Korg D1600 adding internal effects to recorded tracks

I am having trouble understanding the D1600 manual regarding adding effects (at least I hope it is a misunderstanding)I have recorded percussion mono on Tracks 1-4 and would like to add reverb to all 4 tracks. According to the manual, the only mode that offers reverb to playback tracks is 2in2outx2 which, if I understand it correctly, is for adding effects to a pair of stereo tracks. When I tried that, I can get the effect on one track, but not even the other track next to it.

Is it possible to add a simple reverb effect to multiple tracks of a song (but not all tracks)? If not, what is the point of having internal effects? What if I had 4 tracks of vocals requiring reverb that I don't want to add during recording? It just doesn't make any sense to me and I have been unable to find any other clarifying information anywhere. Please help me! Thanks.

Hey did you buy that from us? If so, call your sales person and get them to hook you up with our fabulous tech support. Even if you didn't buy it from us, check out our Sweetcare 24/7 tech support area on our website, free to all! I just did a search on only one of our several searchable databases on the Sweetcare page for D1600 and came up with 33 tech support issues and their solutions! It's a great resource in general. Please buy from us next time so we can help you in person (if you didn't buy the D1600 from us - if you DID, then THANKS and have your sales engineer get you to our tech support, Another Sweetwater difference...)

    Kenny

PS without doing any more research, I would say you can do this buy building an Aux track and sending all the tracks wanting reverb to that Aux track that has the reverb plugin assigned to it. kb

Effectzr, not sure if you figured it out yet, but try the master effects feature. You can pick two effects and add either or both to any/all of the tracks. The Korg is very idiot-friendly; I know, because I can operate it.
I did my entire CD(recording and mixdown) onboard the D1600; have a listen if you like : http://www.cdbaby.com/steverobinson
    Good luck, Steve R.

Kenny, thanks mate. Just wondering if you've heard any reports on the new Korg D3200. I'd love to be able to have 16 tracks at 24 bit rather than the 8 that you get with the D1600. I'm curious as to whether they changed much of the rest of the system. I'm used to my D1600, but would certainly love more tracks. Thanks in advance. Steve R.

    Steve,
Hi! First, I heard you cd on cdbaby, or at least some of it. Away for the Day, is that you? There's another one on there by Steve Robinson that's called ransom, looks like another Steve. Is that you too?

Anyway, REALLY like the tunes and the sound. Way to go!

On the D3200, we just had a training on it by the Korg guys and it is AWESOME. If you like the D1600, you will love the D3200, and not just because it has more tracks! The sound is clearly cleaner in the mix buss and the feature set is way improved! Call me anytime if you' d like to talk about it (or get one!).

I will be ordering your album soon, just have to get the credit card going... Thanks again!

Kenny, thanks for the word. Yeah, "Away For The Day" is mine; I've no idea who the other Steve Robinson is. Is he any good?!
Thanks for the kind words on the CD, and also for supporting Indie artists; very cool. I've been quite fortunate with reviews so far. Here's a recent one if you fancy a look-http://buhdge.com/hot_buhdge/robinson.htm
If I can adequately schmooze the missus,I'll definitely give you a call about the new Korg. Wish me luck! Cheers, Steve R.

Kenny, just read my own message. For some reason I can't seem to add the link correctly. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Be gentle; I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to computers. Cheers, Steve R.

oK, and good luck! The other Steve Robinson stuff is ok, not my bag as it's more harder rock. (Even though Pete Townshend is one of my heros). I really like your sensibility on your cd. Keep up the good work!
