    Respectable DAW Rig: ??

My situation: Some of you already know, but I currently own an Aardvark Q10 and I am looking to up my rig to a more pro sound with better preamps, AD/DA conversion, and soundcard. I've been talking to people and posting in the forums and have pretty much come to a decision on what I am going to buy:

    - Hammerfall Sound Card w/ 24 Channels of ADAT - $600
    - Presonus Eureka with AD/DA card - $800
    - Presonus Digimax 96 w/ 8 channels of pres - $1300
    - UAD-1 Effects Card - $900
    - Clock??

By the way - I am using Sonar 3 Producer, and I would be running all these things in ADAT optical style right into the sound card

    a) would this be a respectable/pro sounding rig
    b) would I need some sort of clock like the Aard Sync II, or maybe a less expensive one
    c) any suggestions? (on soundcard, pres, clocks, ad/da converters)

I heard Filter tracked the drums to their last album with the Presonus Digimax..I wonder if there's any truth to that?? Anyway..

THANK YOU ALL as always..your input is very much appreciated

also, on a side note, does anyone know how Focusrite Octopre is, and how it would stack up to the Presonus Digimax..they're both in the same price range.

    and..

would the digimax pre's be an upgrade from the q10 pre's? I'm not sure anyone has worked with both but if you have I'd be curious

    oh well..
