Hi Hi, I hope someone will be able to point me in the right direction with this problem of mine. It may even be the simplest fix, I just really NEED an answer. Thnx.

Basically, I have an audio interface (Focusrite Scarlette 2i4) and a pair of headphones. And whenever I select it as the default device, ALL audio stops (I mean STOPS) in its tracks. For example, playing a track from itunes or WMP via onboard sound with no issues, switch on the fly to my external interface, and I may hear the track through the headphones for a couple of seconds at which point the tracks' timeline stops in place (not crashed). I switch back to onboard sound (or even to my hdmi tv sound for crying out loud!!), the track resumes where it left off.

I had the exact same problem with another interface i have (Tascam 122mk2). I've unistalled and reinstalled the drivers more times than i care to count, disabled my Azalia hd onboard sound through the bios, reinstalled the os.

I'm using Win 7x64 by the way
