Hello All,

I'm thinking of purchasing a focusrite penta or trackmaster and was wondering if I should get the digital converter from focusrite to go with it or should I get a cheaper unit like the Art DIO? I want to go in to my Roland VS recorders digitally, and also need a decent channel strip/mastering tool/preamp, but I'm on a limited budget.

Is there a great deal of difference in the quality of the two converters? This is all new to me. Any advice is appreciated.
