absynth as a stand alone program

I read recently that the new version of Absynth is now a stand alone program. Not having much knowledge about soft synths but being interested in purchasing this one, I wonder, can I install this program into my laptop computer and use one of my midi keyboards as a controller? Do I need any othe hardware to make this work?

Yes you can do that. All you need is a midi interface.
