Protools has detected a driver error

When I open my Protools I get an error message that says, Protools has detected a driver error, protools with continue to open but may be slow to record. Im currently running windows XP on a dell 2GB of Ram, I didnt have problems before, then one day, the Mbox2 driver started tripping, Ive reinstalled Protools off the disc, and I've downloaded the driver off DigiDesign also. When I do go to record It starts ok, but it only records for like 5 seconds and then says I'm having H/W buffer issues. Ive increased the driver all the way up to 2048 just to see if I would get the same issue, and even set that high it still says H/W buffer issues. I was able to record full songs before and mix with effects n all, now I cant even record a single take, let alone a full production. Any ideas?!? thanks....

You need to completely uninstall and reinstall Pro Tools. http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/...pro+toolsfalse

Right, uninstall from the Add/Remove, then go through this and see if anything was missed.

Ok i followed those steps now when I'm reinstalling it off the Protools CD, It seems to go thru the Mbox2 lights up and all, The status bar gets all the way to the end, where its installing documentation and then it gives an error box "Feature Transfer error"

Error: incorrect function

then it has Ok, I hit ok, and Protools doesnt install, theres no icons for it, and i try to open a session and the icons are like missing program icons, and it asks if I want to find the appropiate program to open this file. HELP!!

Heres an update, I just tried to install it on my laptop a different computer and again it goes thru fine til the end with the documentation and I get the same kinda error "File Transfer Error" Except the info is a little different this time:

Does this mean theres something wrong with the acutal disk?! HELP

One accident newer goes alone When happened something bad always expect more. Your CD is damaged. Try to clean up . If is not damaged on surface there is good chance that you touched surface with finger or something oily.
