sound cards & GSIF/ASIO drivers...

A techie question:

I'm wanting to drive different programs simultaneously out of a max'd out PC; GSIF (Gigastudio 3) & ASIO (Kompakt) out of 2 different cards (TerraTec & RME 9652 )on the same machine - has anyone had any experience/issues with this, or is it just a bad idea?

I am no techie by no means, I don't think you can slave terratec card's clock rate to the other. I may be off base as I am not familiar with the RME, I think they sell a seperate clock module though. terratec can be set in slave mode, yet i only do it from another terratec. So I would check clock compatibility. Just an idea from the trenches.

I have a MOTU DigiTimepiece; I'm going to use it as a master and see if the 2 will 'speak' nicely - I'll let you know the results.
