    Core 2 Quad Q6600 Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody. I really need help with my new comp, cause i am not sure where is the problem-or my comp configuration is wrong or is the key in the Steinberg SOFTWARE support for the multiprocessors! So PLEASE HELP ME if you know!!!!
I have buy before 7 days new custom DAW.
Before i had P4-3.0 Ghz, 2gB Ram (Dell Dimension 5150).
I was running Cubase SX3 under Windows XP Media Center Edition and experience CPU problems with the time.
    Now i have buy :
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
    Mainboard ASUS P5K FSB1333/1066/800-INTEL P35
    2gB Kingston DDR2 RAM Dual Channel PC800
    3 Hard disk-500 gB
    Operating system XP Home edition.
I have install CUBASE SX3 and tested new system- 10 VSTI and 10 Delay Plugins, and my CPU GOES TO MAX!!!! I have test my old comp, and get the same results-10 VSTI and 10 plugins until CPU goes to the max!
The Quad in Windows Task manager shows 20-25 % use,and the Steinberg CPU meter show MAX.
I have cheked and uncheked Multiprocessor in Cubase, but no signs!
If somebody knows where is the key of my problems, please Help.
Here is the picture of the test!
    Thank you one more time!

What soundcard are you running with?
    Is this a self-built PC?
How are your hard drives set up?

Hi ! I have choose components, and the guy who is working in computer shop has built all. Audio card is the old one-Terratec EWS 88MT- 8 I/O.
Hard drives (3) are independent-no ride connecting (1 for system,2nd projects,3rd sample libraries).

genelec, does your computer stutter, lock up or stall/freeze because of this CPU? itsplayed knows better than me about this stuff, but ...maybe your Steinberg CPU is giving a false impression, have you right clicked on task bar to check actual CPU in use on new computer, just a thought.

NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO BACK UP EVERYTING
I would turn on system restore for awhile why you poke around, and create restore points along the way.
try in systems hardware disableing the teratec, uninstalling the terratec soft ware, pull the card, check your system file make sure terratec is gone, reinstall the software and re-install the card. terratecs are fickle, however I am suspect of the Asus Board, as usual, are you running built in video? , lower resolution in video also.
At reboot, check the cpu temperature also.
I assume there is a built in AC97 style card in there try that without the terratec, see if same thing is going on.
Now you are having some fun huh ?
another thought, is place your vst files, and sample files on another drive, I assume these are SATA, not on same drive as Cubase.
