I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the crazy thick sounds that Radiohead gets in the song Idioteque (or others... hehe) I believe he's using a Korg Prophecy but I'm completely sure. If anyone knows how to get that THICK sound they get, please help.
Oh, and one more little goody: is the Korg MicroKorg worth it??? Thanks a bunch
I think live and the studio are two totally different things for Radiohead. In the studio I know for a fact that they use Logic extensively with tons of virtual instruments and added effects. Live they use a bunch of different keyboards and other insturments, but I am not exactly sure what they are.
I have played with the micro korg, and it is a little bottle of fun. Very very very cool. YOu can also use it as a midi controller for reason and such.
Glad to hear that people on this board inquire about Radiohead, who are to me one of the most influental bands ever - and probably my favorite band ever.
yah... So they use a whole lot of Vst's, ehhh? Well does anyone have any idea how the harmonics type sound is produced for Idioteque? I know they use a Korg Prophecy Live for the song (or they did on SNL) and it sounded EXACT. Im just a little curious on the approach to take. Anywho, thanks for the reply, very helpful.
