"Doubling" when using input echo in Sonar 6

    Hi all..

I am using MOTU 828 mkII with Sonar 6 Studio Edition.

As I want to use the realtime reverb effect in Sonar 6 when recording vocal,
so I use input echo function in the track and use the realtime reverb.

When I use WDM driver, the latency is too high,
so I shift to use ASIO.
The latency is very low when using ASIO,
however I hear something like a "Chorus" effect in my realtime monitoring.
That means, I hear two voices out from the speaker when only one vocal is there.
I am sure that this is not the problem of my MOTU device because I have turned off all the volume for output, so all the sounds are from Sonar 6.

As I don't have this problem when using WDM driver,
is there any setting to solve this problem?
    Thanks~~~

Are your speakers and mic seperated far enough from each other that the mic doesn't pick up what's comming out of the speakers?

echo in sonar means the signal from the computer is added to the input to the soundcard.
It is a latency issue you have to fix.
perhaps can be controled in the sound card mixer settings by lowering wave output raising digital output.

There are buffer settings, and dither settings and a lot of junk you will personally have to tweak with what you have, here in lies the math, I personally do not do math.
(I think you running these inquiries on multiple paths on this site, no biggie to me ).
I sense a misunderstanding on the process of your procedure. What I check is this..
    1. I am inputing an analog track from a microphone into sonar from some source...
    2. While I am recording I am seeing the wave file being recorded in the program.
    3. Press stop, and play back, see if i hear it back in all its glory
Once that is established, I have a signal being transfered to DAW
I am bein' a dick on this huh?
Your best approach is record ALL signals DRY
use an outside effects unit(analog) for the headphone mix, to make the players(or you) happy, record that signal also incognito.
An easy suspected solution is to get a little mixer with preamp, and phantom power, and run your analog in from that source.
I am not an intellect on proffesional digital recording procedures by no means, so take my advice as another attempt at your own resolve..
