Hey I think the best Drum forum around is Drummercafe.com
it's moderated by Bart Elliott who is a monster in the industry, you should check it out.

You have to buy a membership to get onto the forums, but pas.org is the Percussive Arts Society's page. Mostly pros, then students, and quite a few hobbyists. There's more info there than anywhere else. But it's not for the faint of heart- there are a lot of Mr. Know-it-alls in this business. On the flip side, many of those same Mr. Know-it-alls really do know it all.

Chris, of course, you're the master of the ddrums.com forums, so that's one I look at a lot. And I'm not even a drummer. But you do get some very odd questions like "why do we need a drum module?"
