I am currently using Cubase SL that is 2 years old. I am about to upgrade and thought I would look at other recorders/sequencers. I am trying to decide between the new Sonar (I think version 4) and Cubase SX 3.

I want to be able run Reason in slave mode, use VST plug-ins and instruments, record/edit/mix all in the same software, process plug-ins in the audio, and lay down drum loops provided by vendors such as P5Audio (www.p5audio.com). I believe both Cubase SX 3 and Sonar 4 can do these things. I am happy with Cubase and Steinberg but I hear great things about Sonar.

Does any one have advice for me?
Thanks
