Need advice

Hi,I need little advice.
I just sold my old computer and was ready to built my new.
Aparrently Imy friend came to me and
offered me laptop Toshiba A75 S229(3.2Ghz,512Ram,80GB,TrueBrite) for $1000.Regular store price is around 1300$.
So I bought it.Now I'm thinking about selling it and built a desktop.But still not sure.
What you'd do??

Heck, I'd shake it down and see if it will work out for your needs.
If not, by all means off-load it and build one that will suffice.

What I'm trying to decide is between laptop and desktop.

The only advantages that desktops have are:

Easier to change contents (bigger and second internal hdd that sort of thing)
Usually much better video cards.
Cheaper to upgrade with adittional memory/hdd's

That's basicly it.... it all depends on what you want to do and how... but it looks like quite a powerfull laptop so I can't imagine any desktop being much of an improvement on it.

Like you said.Graphic card,maybe that'd be only problem.
This laptop has ATI RAdeon 9000 which shared memory.
That's only think it bothers me.
