2 SATA drives on ASUS p4p

I just installed 2 Seagate 80g SATA drives on an ASUS P4P800-E Motherboard.
I installed WinXP home and anyway long story short...

Windows only sees one drive C: form the explorer view. ..but in the Hardware view I see both drives. I didn't set this up as Raid, just want one drive for OS/Apps and the other for Audio.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks to all,

do you have one set as master and the other as slave? do you have it setup in the bios that way as well?

Use the disk manager to format the second disk.

I got it...thanks . I never did create a drive partition on the 2nd drive. Working now.

How do I access disk manager?

    My system
    Asus P4P800-E
    2 Seagate 80g SATA Drives
    P4 3.0 HT 800fsb
    1g DDR Corsair Ram

Will be sticking my Layla 24 in it as soon as I get it out of my old rig.

    Start > Run > (type in) compmgmt.msc > OK
You can also get to it via control panel > administrative tools > computer management.
There you will find Disk Management under Storage. Click on it and it will bring up your disk info.

You're making it too hard. Right click 'My Computer' --> Manage

    Now select 'Disk Management.'

Well .... you know Windows! There are many avenues to achieve the same outcome.

ASUS P4P800-E has four SATA connectors, two for the on board Promise RAID controller and the other two for Intel ICH5R. Ensure that u have set up ur drivers to ICH5R connectors if u dont want Promise RAID.Or u have to press F6 and provide Promise driver while installing windows XP.
As to SATA,there is no master or slave driver.U may select the driver u wanna boot from BIOS.
Check the IDE setting in BIOS.there r several modes which might affect .
    Disable RAID function in BIOS.
Since u can see both in hardware view, try to set up the "invisible" driver in disk management.

    Good luck.
