Aux sends on vocals

Hi, I've been sending my lead vocals to a auxilary track and adding some delay to give it a thicker sound. It helps but still doesn't quite cut it. My question, How many aux sends are used on vocals on a typical pop/rock mix? 2, 3 or more? Does anyone have any advice on getting the vocals to stand out without being overbearing?
