Do you work with DAWs

If so, how does your DAW help with your creativity. What special tools/features make it the right DAW for you?

I play more than one instument, but not at one time, so it allows me to layer stuff.

Now if I can just stop tweaking it, I'd probably be a happier person. Then again my guitars might end up in pieces, LOL.

ditto... I can create music inside my system that I could never simply "play" by myself.

What effects? Cut and paste mosty. compression and reverb as well.

I don't use too many... I'm basicly the sort of person who puts a mic next to something noisy and records that. But I cut that stuff up a lot afterwards.
