Ok, all you experts out there,(or in here, or whatever). I need some helpfull advice on pick-ups.
I have recently built a new electric guitar myself, using most of a Yamaha Pacifica and I shaped the body myself out of a nice block of wood.
The pick-ups at the bridge on the pacifica(kinda like two pick-ups taped together) were busted so they will have to be replaced and I was thinking that maybe a Humbucker would fit in their place???
The other two seem to be ok, but I think I'll replace them anyhow as they are white and I now have a stainless steel scratchplate(non-magnetic stainless steel) and black would suit it better.
Basically, what I am asking is, if you had your choice, what would be your ideal choice of pick-up formation 1...2...3, with 1 being the neck pick-up and 3 being the large pick-up(size of a Humbucker) ???
