Samplitude w/ two different sound cards

There might be too many variables to answer my question definitivly but I will throw it out any way:

I keep waffling back forth about sound cards, like a lot of people I am sure it goes between the MOTU 2408 MKII, Echo Layla, and the Delta 1010.

The Delta tends to bee the least expensive of the three and have read about many PC recorder who are happy w/ it.

Here is my situation: I would like to have the Delta hooked up and use its 8 analog ins and also be albe to use my ADAT XT as an xtra set of A/D converters if I ever need to record more than 8 channels at the same time. This will probably not be the case most of the time but it would nice to be able to do it.

My question is actuall this- Has anyone out there used Samplitude w/ two different sound cards providing input before? Along w/ the Delta I would like to use the ADAT Edit PCR card. If so how did Samplitude perform?

My PC specs are PIII 550 Mhz 356 mgs ram windows 98 s.e.

You can record with as many sound cards as you like. Each track allows you to select the ins and outs of the sound card of your choice. Make sure you have a sound card that can support this. The Delta 1010 is good I have heard. Personally I use the Ardvark q10. Excellent sound card. they are a lot than these 2 ofcourse.

Yep, just make sure you have both cards enabled in the options/Audio Devices menu or you won't see both in the track record option. Should work perfectly fine.
