waves Q plugin versions missing in 3.0

hey all i got a question,

as waves 3.0 users may know, they have reduced the plugin amount
    quite a bit by
reducing the number of EQ plugins. where you had a 1-band, 2-band,
3,4,6,8,10-band variation of the waves Q EQ plugin,
you now only have either the 4-band or the 10-band.

in itself, this makes sense. who needs a 1-band EQ plugin in the age of
    GHZ CPUs.

but, the problem is, older projects that used other variations of this EQ
now open with NO EQ at all, meaning,
instead of replacing say the 8-band EQ with the 10-band, it simply
opens without any plugin at all.

for me this essentially means that 90% of my waves EQ settings in older projects are lost, since i used the Q 6 and Q 8 most of the time.

has this been adressed in 3.2 already?
and yes, i installed 3.0 with the backwards compability option.

oh, and im talking about the waves gold bundle PC, direct x. i use win ME and emu paris pro as host if that makes any difference (i doubt it does)...

thanks for any info you can give, and if the answer is "no this hasnt been adressed yet" then consider this an urgent request for a bug fix. losing most of your EQ settings in several years worth of projects qualifies as problem i guess ;-) either give us the 1,2,3,6 and 8-band versions back then or find a way to have the Q 10 open instead...

    best,
    derek

p.s.: if theres a way to install the 2.8 versions of these plugins in addition to 3.0, then thats fine with me too. seeing how incompatible the previous bundle revisions were to each other im not very optimistic though...

It has been adressed in version 3.0 and 3.2. when you install you have the chance to request extended backward compatibility. If you select yes then you will see the Q1,2,3,4,6,8 in the menu but they will open the 4 or 10 with the correct settings.
Reinstall and look out for the dialog that asks you if you want extended BW compatibility.

BTW, its not about the age of giga computers its about the age where Waves native Plug-Ins take CPU only for the bands which are ON, bands which are off do not consume CPU so why open just a Q1, open a Q4 and have one band active, then if you need another band it'll be right there.
