Cool Edit 2000

Does anyone have a copy of Cool Edit 2000 they would be willing to sell at a reasonable price? My son is a student at the local Junior College. They use CE2000 to teach basic audio editing to the radio production students. I would like to get a copy for him to use at home that matches the version they use. I have no real need for CE Pro or the new Adobe adaptation, which is way above my price range anyway and not what he will be using at school. Thanks.

I have a legitimate copy of Cool Edit 2000 (with e-mail receipt from Syntrillium - the original company) and as I am seriously considering upgrading to Audition soon, I can sell you mine for $50 US or the equivalent in Canadian dollars. I've got mine for $70 US (not that long ago), so I think this is a fair price.
You should know though, once I upgrade to Audition you (or your son) can't do the same later.

$50 is probably fair. I just want to have a legal installation of CE2000 so he can use it at home and have the same environment he has at school. I don't think I would be up for the Adobe upgrade, anyway. kellyads@cox.net
