Langevin anyone?

Has anyone used any Langevin gear? An old frien has a tube mic and preamp, but I was looking at their Dual Vocal combo. Is it made by Manley? Does anyone have any advice with their gear?

My favorite pre--DVC--we use it for tracking and for mastering,,,,,,,,great limiter and well-built..just enough EQ

Manley did acquire the Langevin name, and I believe they build those units in the Manley production facility in Chino, CA. check out www.manleylabs.com for more info.

The DVC is cool, especially for what it does for the money. Not the best choice for ribbon mics though, due to the limits to the gain it can produce.

Do you need two channels and all the features? If not, there are some fairly compelling single channel strips (the Daking 52270) and also some great 2-channel preamps (the Great River MP-2NV) right in the same price range.
