Am trying to perform a clean reboot of my windows 98 OS. Used fdisk and format as described but when I try to reboot from the CD, it takes 2 minutes instead of 24, starts windows for the 'first time', and recommends safe mode saying windows has not loaded properly. If you then try to start safe mode to run 'diagnotics' the computer then restarts, and restarts for as many times as you try to get the darn thing to reboot. Have tried with a friends copy of the windows disk and the result is the same.... Any ideas about what's wrong?
