booting up this morning brought up the "Waking up scanner" message, then "please wait" then............NOTHING!? Changed the batteries......NOTHING. The screen is on but no type...everythings backed up, but I'm not ready for the cold turkey thing. Any Ideas?

OK, looked around the database and found the hard reset technique...it's all good.
