Yamaha EMX5016CF use of on board compression

Does anyone have any experience to share with the best settings for the on board compression settings, particularly for bass and snare drum ? Thanks, Jeff

It's a single-knob compressor, right? When I've used it, I think I had it at 1 or 2 o'clock for vocals. Snare and bass guitar would probably work at that setting or higher. I basically just turned the knob until it sounded "good."

Check to see whether it affects the pre-fade aux sends that you use for monitors. If so, use it very sparingly. (The inserts on most consoles are ahead of the aux pick-off points).
