Hello,
Hope I'm in the right room. I'm thinking of getting the Alesis iO Dock. The main thing I want to do is record my Native American Flute and my guitar separately, with a pro high quality result in sound using my iPad.
Now, I'm told I will need a decent pre amp (maybe the Really Good Preamp) and an interface. Can I use the Really Good Preamp with the iO dock, and would I still need an interface? I don't want to buy any unnecessary equipment, but I'm told that most built in preamps are not as good as aftermarket add ons.

Do you have any better suggestions?
