so im trying to record my voice through a turtle beach headset on windows 7 with audacity. However the program is recording my voice and the music im playing on my computer. I've tried several things to prevent this and nothing has worked. However any help at this point would be awesome. thanks.
Been a while since I messed with a turtle beach soundcard, but as with a standard soundblaster, open up the sound control panel,
look at the recording preferences and make sure that ONLY the mic port is enabled. Uncheck anything that says anything like
'what you hear' (which gives a mix of everything going through the computer).
