When I plugged my mboxpro in to my MacBook pro for the first time the screen became dark and said shut the pc down!!! Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

In multiple languages, right? That's called a Kernel Panic. It could be drivers, make sure they're updated. If not, look for support or forums for your device and see if anyone has had the problem.
