I'm a newbie thinking of getting cakewalk v studio 20. WillI be able to use band in a box with it. Are they at all compatible. And if I can, will I be able to save the finished product in mp3 format? preemptive thanx for any & all responses!

Yes, it will work with Band in a Box. The interface uses ASIO on PC and Core Audio on Mac which Band in a Box supports.
You should be able to export MP3 out of it. If not, you can get full .wav files and convert them.
