Program Map Assignment to allow Midiquest selection of Proteus 1 XR pre sets

Someone once told me I have to go in to the program map on Midiquest and map one of the channels to a specific # to allow Midiquest to select the instruments on the Proteus 1 XR. does anyone out there know the number, or even what I'm talking about?

That really depends on the mode that the Proteus is in. You would want to have it send the patch change to the same channel that you are playing on. Typically channel 1 if you aren't using a sequencer. You will also need to have the MIDI implementation chart for the Proteus if you don't want to do any more guesswork than you have to.
