Did My Eyes Decieve Me ?

I was watching a DVD of the 2010 Crossroads Blues Festival and in Bert Jansch(sp?) set and the set with Keb Mo and Stefan Grossman, I swear there on the guitars at roughly the 12th fret was a Sennhieser 609 dynamic mic. Thinking my eyes were playing games with my brain, I fixated on the mic and could come to no other conclusion. Could it have been a here to fore unknown mic (not likely I think) ? Or could it have been a AKG 414 ? Why did I notice this ? Cause I have a 609 on my amps. Is this a insider secret finally revealed ? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Did it have gold screens instead of silver & black? If so, you saw the much loved and long discontinued Sennheiser 409. If not gold, they might have had the current 906, which is much less colored than the 609.

Hey thanks for the info Tim. Never thought about the 906. The only difference being the presence switch for $80 more, so I guess it could have been either one since the camera never got that close to the mic. Thanks again Tim

The 609 and 906 are very different sounding mics - the 906 is much more natural.
