Getting famous Imogen Heap "Hide and Seek" Vocoder sound

Hi, I am a fan of the vocoder sound in the song "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. I was wondering if there is any VST plugin that I could purchase or download online to help me find this sound. The only thing that worries me is how would I be able to get the vocoder to recognize my signal? Is the vocoder VST supposed to use MIDI, because there is no way to daisy chain it like a stomp box? Would I be able to hook my keyboard, a Yamaha MO8, up to my AudioBox USB via MIDI to use it as a control for the Vocoder? Then could I plug a mic in the input 1? I am not very well educated on the subject of vocoder's and setting them up with a computer. What would needed to be done to get me the "Hide and Seek" sound. Thank you very much, and if anyone could shed any light on this material it would greatly be appreciated.

that's great. thank you very much, i'm sure some of those plugins are awesome. I am running on a 13'' MacBook Pro. Do you know what the program is that allows one to run Windows software on their computer? Lately all of the VSTs I have tried to download have just pulled up the computer programmed code (source code), which I think means that they aren't in a suitable form for the computer. Thanks

yes, i felt really dumb asking that question because it is a piece of information one can find out. What would you recommend for getting the vocoder sound from that song? Thanks

I have not heard the song completely but a vocoder can sometimes be confused with Melodyne or Auto Tune type software. It may be one of the other.

To be honest from what I did hear, sounds a lot like what is produced with a TC electronics voicelive system

Another example of this is done with Antares Harmony Engine...

High end studios like the one that work with Imogen probably have this bundle on hand and possibly used a combination of auto tune and harmony plugins.
