Hi, I'm brand new to this forum, production and computer building so i figured I'd try and get some help. I want to build a pc using the AMD Bulldozer FX 6100 processor (i know that the intel offerings are "faster" I just want to make my mistake if it is in fact a mistake), what I'm not sure of is if my current part list will work.
MSI 970A-G45 AM3+ (I know it supports almost every other FX CPU its just the 6100 isnt on the list)
AMD Bulldozer FX 6100 3.3Ghz
ASUS Radeon HD 5450 650Mhz (I was told i would need a GPU, Radeon preferably...)
Zalman Z9+ Mid Tower
12GB Mushkin Enhanced Silverline RAM (is that to much RAM?)
I'm going to use a DVD drive and PSU from my buddys old computer and i haven't yet found a hard drive. I will go with a 1TB sata hopefully and i might get an SSD aswell.
Any advice or confirmation would be much appreciated.
P.S. I will be using the computer exclusively for producing music using 5+ synths and occasionaly recording vocals and instruments.
