string height

i guess i'm an advanced beginner and was wondering about string height above the frets on my inexpensive samick acoustic. at the 1st fret i have 1/16th - 1/8th" and at the 20th i have 3/16ths. is this a concern or normal. it looks like alot and if its something i need to address befor it gets worse. any input is appreciated. thanks

I'm not certain about the exact measurements, but it is normal for the action to be higher further up the neck. I'd say that isn't too bad at all for the 20th fret.
