    Mixer / Mains match?

    Looking 4 opinions on matching a Yamaha EMX5016CF powered mixer with JBL JRX125 Speakers...The goal is to have a great overall sound that an audience can enjoy the band as well as carry on a conversation...music would range from smooth jazz / Top 40 / Neo soul

    As powered mixers go, the Yammie's are one of the best. I'm not a fan of powered mixers, as they require long speaker cables if you have a soundman out front, and with most there is no upgrade path.

    The JRX are not well thought of by most pros and semi-pros. I'd look at the Yamaha boxes instead.
