    Wavelab won't recognize CD-R device

WaveLab 6 won't recognize any CD/DVD drives on my Creation Station. When trying to burn CDs, the program requires a drive to be chosen, but does not see any available.

I've applied the 6.1.0 update, AND reapplied the new ASPI driver (WaveLabASPI) from the Steinberg website, but the problem remains.

Any tricks to getting this to work ?

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, WaveLab 6.10

I found the solution...at least for my system.

Maybe this will help someone else out:
I was able to get WaveLab 6 to recognize my CD/DVD drive by running the asapi.msi installer. On my Windows XP Creation Station, this installer was found in the following path:
    C:Program Files/Steinberg/WaveLab 6/Tools/Cdr/asapi.msi

Run the installer, reboot, then open WaveLab to verify the CD burner drive is recognized.

Many thanks to a poster on the Steinberg/Cubase/WaveLab forum.
