ok i just installed SONAR and i have some problems and some questions also. first of all, i am using a Creative SB AudioPCI card. Can anyone tell me if this alright for SONAR or should i upgrade?, I use ACID PRO also, and when i record, the balance is always off and i have to adjust the panning on my mixer to make left and right equal!!!,ok, problems: cant hear the metronome when i record(even after setting the pc speaker setting), when i plug my guitar straight into the mixer, i can hear it out the pc speakers, but when i add the LINE 6 POD(plug in), before recording, i cant hear the effected signal!!!, ok if anyone can help id love it, im still learning SONAR and i really want to get better with it,
There are a few issues with the Creative lines such as many allways sample at 48kHz even if yu want to record 44.1kHz, they then resample to what you want. I've read lots of people also having problems with using the SBLive for music. It's a gamers card.
The metronome issue may be something with your PC speaker. I don't get a PC speaker metronome, either. You can also make a click track and play it back as you record. Just don't route it back to your sound card as you record your new material.
I suggest you break te other questions out to other posts/forums and be more detailed as in just what mixer you are using and where you have things connected.
