What type of gear/software do you prefer? Since I've been doing everything on the computer I've gone to plugins for guitar and drums(VDrums). Is mic'ing up an amp in a room (not dampened or controlled) going to produce good results or is it better to just let plugins handle it? Do you prefer to daisy chain pedals or use one big floor POD. Since I do nothing but recording, the ability to pull up a project and already have the saved plugin preset ready to go for any retakes is very convenient.
