    How to reassign IRQ's?

I had to reinstall WinXp on my laptop due to a virus, after which XP started putting my PCI Firewire card on the same IRQ with the video card.
Is there any way I could force it to free up that IRQ just for audio?

I've read that with laptops it may be impossible, but this laptop USED to work without a flaw just until the reinstall. So it must be the software?

FYI, the new one has SP3 as opposed to SP2 so I'm wondering as to whether this could have caused it...

Do you have two ExpressCard / PCMCIA card slots? (sometimes there are two stacked)
    If so, try changing slots.
