Arrow CD Duplication is in my mind....

Next month,I have to go to a college for a seminar and I have prepared a CD of my presentation to distribute it among the audience, I am planning to take the help of a company for CD duplication. Tell me, will there be a difference in quality? I have heard that replication gives a better quality?

The implied difference between duplication and replication is that in duplication you're just using CDR discs to "burn" copies, whereas in replication a glass master is made and discs are manufactured from that master with your data on them. No matter how good the CDR and burning process there is always more margin for error because of the formulas used to make the discs "recordable." So, yes, all other things being equal replicated discs are better, but unless you're doing a run of thousands it's probably not worth it. Duplicated CDR discs, if done well, are almost foolproof these days, and far more economical for small runs.

    Let me add more:

Duplication is ideal for low volume whereas Replication is most suited for high volume runs of 1000 units and more

DVD / CD duplication is similar to "burning" DVD – Rs* / CD-Rs* on a computer with a CD / DVD recorder. You must have a DVD recorder drive and software to duplicate DVDs. DVD / CD Duplication is used for Low volume orders up to 1000 units
    *Rs- recordables

DVD / CD replication is a manufacturing process of creating a glass master, is created from the customer's supplied media and used to press the digital information to make the DVD/CD replicas. DVD replication or CD replication is used for higher volume orders of at least 1000 units. DVD replicated discs can play in virtually all players and in all PCs with a DVD-ROM drive and player software.
