What is the best combination?
Fantom g7 and synth gt
m3 with synth gt .
OASYS by itself? or what do you think is best for that amount?

I'm gonna guess he's looking for a White Stripes kind of sound.![]()
TARKTONES AUDIO
While no trees were harmed in the posting of this message, a large number of electrons were severely inconvenienced.

Do you have a workstation already? What type of music are you wanting to cover???

No comparison at all. Get an Oasys as its the most complete workstation out there and has far and away the most and best features.
What I meant is, Do you have a DAW, or some way of recording your music and midi onto? If so, pass on the workstations like oasis where you will be paying for hard drive and all that, and get some nice synths like Virus and a voyger or something, depending on what sounds and style you are going for..
Or if you are working in the computer, there are some great soft synths out there as well, Especially if you are looking for realistic acoustic type sounds like piano and strings, better then what a keyboard has to offer.
What are type of sounds and music?
I will also second a vote for the Oasys. The Oasys is a complete workstation and sounds amazing. The depth of the machine is amazing and could keep you busy for 20 + years learning how to master it entirely. The great thing is Korg continues to support it and releases updates and new sound sets.
I gonna need the hardware for playing in church and with my friends. I do not have much hours on computer recording yet but thats my next move after the hardwares.Originally Posted by Audioholic
ps. I did checked out your website and I do love it.
I really wouldn't buy an $8,000 keyboard for those purposes.Originally Posted by en76
You could get one really solid stage piano, a synth or two, a computer, interface, monitors, and more for that kinda money.
The roland synth gt is most likely gonna be one of them. Thanks for that cool website. One of my friend did mention the same thing. He do a lot of his recording through software too. Absolutely, a pair of Mackies will be also included with the purchase that I will be making. I'm not too worry about a computer yet cause they changes so fast that by the time I will be purchasing one, it may be the macbookpro 2.6 or macpro 8 core 3.2 or higher at the price at $2,799.00.Originally Posted by Smithcok

You could always get a great controller, and a muse receptor loaded with some killer piano and strings, and synths. I don't like keyboards for acoustic sounds, even piano. I think they are fine for live, but if you are going to be doing any recording, you need ivory or something of the like, way better piano, feel and sound.
The oasys is one of a kind. The thing I notice is the 12 insert effect which is insane. It seems it has the familiar type of effects as the triton extreme. I will have to learn more about this a little bit more. thanks..Originally Posted by iamironman
