    HELLO

I'm Harley, singer songwriter, I just purchased a B.L.U.E. baby bottle from Tim Yanes at Sweetwater and starting to track some serious vox tracks. Heres my URL,http://home.earthlink.net/~hjvk/index.html These vocals were tracked with a realistic hi z mic, thats all I had at the time.Cant wait to dig deeper into the BOTTLE!!!!!

    Hi

Im Dick Levon. I live in the Chicago area. I am a psychotherapist, art theapist and recently have been doing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Horses are great!

I am a songwriter and amature musician, keyboard, and love playing/learning blues. Used to play and sing professionally years ago.
I have collaborated with a few local projects in Chicago.

I am here to connect and get some good advice from your experience. I have a small home studio, 4 trk. analog. I am needing to upgrade so I'm moving into the digital world...way behind the times. but I love analog. sound.

I need to purchase a very solid and reasonably priced mic. for vocals.
any input on this is greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    Dick

    Hi, I'm Chris...

I'm 20 and I live in CT. I'm currently a junior at the University of Connecticut where I am studying towards my BS in Business. (Majoring in Management Information Systems).

I am a bass player but I'm also very much interested in recording. (Berklee was my first choice for college but I couldn't come up w/the $$.... ) I have a continually-expanding home studio based around a Yamaha AW4416. I record my own band and do favors for friends, nothing for profit.

I enjoy a lot of different types of music but my main influences are jazz. The project I'm currently working on is more pop-rock oriented. Looking forward to producing our first CD in my own home studio! I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions...

    Chris

Hello everyone! My name is Leo Goler. I'm not an American - live in Finland. I'm a violinist. Love recording and mixing, in fact much more then playing violin, piano, guitar, etc.. Got a small studio (Nuendo/RME/HR824/) where I record and/or mix/remix with pleasure. I sometimes compose as well. Enjoy any good, professionaly composed and played, beautiful music.

    Respect

    my name is Eric,

I play guitar, drums and occasionally bass. Most of my playing is for contemorary/blended worship teams at my church. I'm currently converting my extra 9'-8" x 12'-8" bedroom into a recording studio. Oh yeah, i'm also a live sound engineer at my church on a temporary break.
I'm looking forward to writing and recording my own songs (we'll haf'ta see about that) and making backing tracks/accompaniment cd's for vocalist's at church and perhaps recording the occasional group of kids (ahem, I meant young people) at church that decide they'd like to be in a band. Looking forward to learning as much as I can (despite that axiom about "old dog's" and "new tricks").
Forever learning, or... be careful not to be trampled by elephants whilst looking for ants to stomp.

My name is Eric from San Antonio. I am currently a youth leader at Victory Outreach Church of San Antonio. I have been running or whatever you call it, the sound mixer for my church since about 1998. So ruffly a little over 4 years. But I want to learn more. To me, I just know the basics. How to set up and break down the equipment, like setting up for rallies and stuff. But sometimes I feel like I still don't know anything. I would like to get some training, but don't have the money, resources or time to do that. I look forward to learning.

New guy here...anyway my name is Todd. I spent about 7 years doing the mobile DJ thing, got into running live sound somewhere in there & finally backed out of all of it. Also played guitar since I was 16, and was in a couple of bands along the way, but still not that great at it. I hear better than I play it I think :-)

    Anyway, howdy.

    Introductions

I've played the fiddle since I was a kid. I played classical music all through school (through high school). I play Bluegrass now. I'm trying to put together a sound system for outdoor performances. I thought this looked like a good site to get some words of wisdom (based on experience) about microphones.
