So does anyone know of any interfaces with 4 ADAT inputs?
I'm looking for an audio interface with plenty of ADAT inputs.
Currently I have a MOTU 828 mkII running 8 channels of 44.1 audio from my Focusrite ISA 428 via ADAT. I also have another 8 channels of audio coming from my Focusrite Octopre via the 8 Analog inputs.
I'd like to upgrade the sample rate to 96khz and utilize the ADAT outs on both the Octopre and the ISA 428, but audio at 96k requires the use of 2 ADAT inputs per 8 channels running in SMUX.
The best thing I can figure on is an RME PCI card, probably the HDSP 96/52. It has 3 x ADAT, so you could beef up one of your unit's outputs... but for $600 that might not be worth it.
I can't think of any non-PCI interface with more than 2 ADAT jacks though, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Keep looking!
