This was my thought as well. Would recommend this one or Korg Kronos first and then they Yamaha Motif XS. The Kronos while expensive is an absolutely amazing keyboard and the best all in one IMO.

So often people judge a keyboard by its sounds and to an extent that is fair. I think to a much larger extent the true quality of a keyboard can be measured by what a good player can get out of it. ...
I think this is a good, fair response and I hope the OP reads, or has read it.
Not sure where your getting you info from, but using harmony central and keyboard magazines forums for my first basis, I would say what I saw disputes this. When I do a simple search for the Kronos...
I would also recommend the Korg. The Casio is limited and I imagine of you're serious about your music, you'll find it inadequate when compared to others. The Juno G and D from Roland sound very...
Um, the weight between the two is really insignificant, only 5 pounds. The three people I know that have both say both weight and dimensions are really a non issue. I have also carried around and...
In a nutshell no. He has good sounding keyboards already that are very capable and should do just fine for him. He has a powerful workstation and arguably one of the best software sound...
SInce the price is next to nothing for the Fusion now, the risk of buying one isn't that great. The numerous people who got burned paying more for it, had valid complaints and since the support is...
Looking at this, I think you may have misinterpreted supermans comments. The poster he quoted basically recommends the same keyboard for everything and everyone. While many people do like the...
The OP said he didn't want Roland stuff and for the price of the 700gx, I think there are better things out there and comparable things for less.
One of the people in this thread, supermanrulez, has come onto these forums and time and time again correctly informed of us of new releases before they are announced. Over the last five years, this...
There are some threads here regarding the Fantom G. There seems to be many people who have had issues with the fantom G and many opinions regarding the sound quality when compared to other...
I've been looking for a new keyboard to gig with. My main keyboard is too heavy and I'm using two others to get the sounds I need. My hope is the S90XS will cover all the sounds I need. The Motif...
I will definately want to check this out. 76 piano weighted key action. Damn its about time!
It sounds like you've already made your mind up, but since you asked for opinions I also prefer the M50. Sound is a very subjective thing but I think is sounds fuller than the Juno G. The M50 also...
If I understand correctly what your saying, you could do what your saying but it seems to be very tedious. It might better to have a standard format to work with and convert them onto the korg. ...
IMO for the money I think the Korg M3 is the best value right now on the market. Great sounds all around, not quite as good a piano sound as the Motif XS but overall with the editability, number of...
I agree with everything in your post. Especially with the lack of quality controllers these days the S90 now can serve multiple purposes. This would be a great buy for the OP.

Please do not SPAM us with any businesses regarding your music or company. Several other people could do the same and this would destroy the fabric of what these...
If I was you, I would go back and reread supermanrulez post. His information is very solid! I would stay away from the used unless you can get a fairly newer model. With used models you don'y...
For me, I would skip midi controllers since most of them are crap. I would go for another keyboard with great action. The Yamaha S90 is an excellent choice and a good keyboard to boot. You'd get a...
I think for some people it comes down to some of the things you mentioned. Many people simply want to play. They don't want to hassle with learning everything that is required, like software, setup...
Sweetwater has the M50 listed for the following prices:
M50 61 key -$1099.97
M50 88 key - $1799.97
For the record its hard to judge both until you get a chance to play them. Using the M3...
Atlas,
Thanks for the kind words! I did have a set of heaphones when I played the fantom G. Its almost a must when you are seriously checking out gear these days. Anyways the G just didn't do...
I also agree that of the two, the Fantom X is the better choice. I am actually moving away from Roland as Korg and Yamaha have clearly surpassed them soundwise in my opinion.
To me this a...
