I do agree with 'the', I don't think there's been a keyboard lately that was advanced enough to make someone want to trade a triton classic for it ... Yes, workstations improved a little bit, way...
I played a TR but didn't play a Juno G yet, although I really want to try it. But still didn't have it in Argentina ...
It all depends on what you will use the keyboard for ... Juno G has 4 audio...
Congratulations ! I think you made the right choice.
I will be buying a MacBook Pro next month and will go with Logic Express too. Plus Ableton Live 5.
Let us know about your experience with...
I would go with Logic Express. I've used Cubase SX on a PC, never used Mac yet but I'm about to buy a MacBook Pro soon.
First of all, I think you will have a hard time using Cubase in a 12' monitor...
I'm basically writing pop music. Lots of ballads, and also mid tempo. Some up tempo too, trying to make it as a songwriter. I would like to produce good demos and even be able to eventually produce...
You're right guys, my mistake. Only the drivers are Intel compatible ... I wonder how long will it take until they get DP5 to be compatible ...
So far I think it is just Logic and Live 5.2 ...
Hi Phil,
I saw it a couple of days ago ... it really looks interesting. This is mainly a catch up from DP against Logic. In all reviews I've read, the main cons from DP is the lack of soft synths...
I will use the keyboard for 2 main functions> quick songwriting, I mean laying down a few tracks and come up with new and inspiring ideas without the need to turn the computer on. And second, live...
Hi Slovenec, thansk for your time man ... You always come up with focused and down to earth input, I really appreciate that a lot.
The Motif is a classic one. Keep in mind, as I said, the prices...
I'm about to purchase a MacBook Pro. If I were you I shouldn't but and older iMac. But the Intel one as all software companies will update soon.
Logic 7.2 is ready, DP is Intel ready too, so is Live...
Hi guys, my budget for purchasing will be ready in about a month. I was walking the music stores today and came accross two boards.
Roland V-Synth and Motif 7, they are both used and in very good...
Well, I'm back home (Argentina) after a week in Seattle, I spent two full mornings at a GC playing a bucnh of keyboards. Before geting there I was leaning towards the Triton Extreme, I played it...
Thanks man, don't worry, I didn't feel it like you were trying to show off.
I've worked with most of the soft synths you have and I know they're great. Funny, I had Reason and didn't use it too...
I hear you, and I have to agree with you. The piano on the triton extreme or yammi or roland probably won't beat Bossendorfer 290 or Ivory, same with acoustic guitars and things like that. For loops...
Hi Audioholic,
I used to have a PC running cubase SX (one, then version 2) and playing Stylus RMX and Kontact. I've also tried the Sonar / Gigastudio route working with a friend of mine.
I like...
Hi Leesong,
I never played the PA1X Pro, and I'm not looking for an arranger, but I checked out the Tyros 2 demos and I really was blown away by some if its sounds. Especially guitars.
I'm...
Go to yamaha site and hear the demos. Tyros 2 sounds amazing. I've never heard guitars sound that good out of a synth ever ...
If the next yammi workstation uses the mega voices of the tyros 2 I...
I didn't check the K2661, they don't have it in Argentina, and couldn't find it in the US in my last trip. I know it has good
sounds, I've played a K2500 at a local studio and liked its acoustic...
Go to www.rolandus.com and check the multimedia demo of the V-Synth xt, is the rack version of the synth with it's OS 2.0, you get the same functions if you buy the keyboard version now.
It will...
Hi Slovenec, you seem to be reading my mind ... I was playing the Triton Extreme last week at a local store. It's loaded with excellent sounds, but most of all I found it to be very inspirational as...
Not sure how much a triton LE88 w/ sampling costs, but I bet it is very close to the motif ES6 or Fantom X6 or Triton Extreme 61 ... if that's the case I would go with any of those and then I would...
I guess I'll go with the Fantom since it looks lot mor euser friendly, and takes up to 512 of RAM (same as the Fantom X)compared to the 64 on the Motif classic, and the USB connection to transfer wav...
Hi chazmuz,
I know the Karma is a great board, but I need one where I can import and trigger samples. I know the pads on the Fantom X are great, but I have to decide between the Fantom Xa and the...
Hello Ark, did you check the Boss SP-606 ? it has sampling capabilities, a software from Cakewalk for you to biuld your own patterns, a 4 tracks sequencer, and it's only $200 more than the dr 880.
