Im looking to do some simple recordings in my dorm room :P... I have a Korg Triton LE 88, a couple mics, and an IBM laptop with Windows XP Pro, 1 GB ram, 60 GB hard drive. What USB audio interfaces can you reccomend to do some low cost recordings from my keyboard, vocals and possibly a guitar? Im not sure exactly what equiptment I need to get the show on the road, so any input would be beneficial.
Thanks,
Aaron

I still use an old USB M-audio quattro for recording with my laptop... Think they make it under a different name now, but it's a usb breakout box... 4 in's, 4 out's and midi. Pretty nifty for on the fly portable recording. Also, I use Cubase SX for recording software. Just sort of depends on your budget..... Or you could always just go the ghetto route and use the laptop mic or line input if it has one.

M-Box's are pretty sweet. They have Phantom Powered mic line in's, or you can use two 1/4" ins...Only two at the same time though. Plus you get MIDI and balanced TRS outs for monitors. It's pretty sweet, because you also get Pro Tools, it's like $450 I think

i ended up getting the lexicon omega with cubase le, im happy with it except for the fact it puts different inputs to the same tracks!
