Hi,I was wondering if the Air Synth can be used for guitar?

I didn't know they were shipping yet, Nika was supposed to... um, nevermind. Try using the AirFX with guitar; works pretty well. I'm not sure how you would use the AirSynth with one, since it will be generating its own sound.

I don't know what will come first, me giving up fast food and losing 50lbs.... or the Airsynth actually shipping :-) I want to check this product out myself, but it would help if they actually shipped! :-( The latest information is possible middle to end of February but at this point, I'll believe it when I see it!!! ;-(

on a kind of side note...i know there is something else thats exactly like AIR SYNTH...only more expensive....

Nine Inch Nails use it..but i have no idea what the hell it is.

I would like to have some information on this product.I have no clue exactly what it does,I have not heard any sound clips.Anyone have any detailed information on this product? Does it just make sounds by itself or can it be used with a guitar,keyboard,Vocals,ect? Some sound clips would be nice.

I've yet to see it myself since Alesis has yet to release it... I've used the AirFX which is very cool, but obviously this is a different kind of product.

That "thing" you're talking about could it be a Therimin, It was used in a lot of old sci-fi movies. NIN, fishbone, all kinds of people use them. I have one and it is so much fun and so cool. It has a seven ocatve range, and through some pedals and different stuff, can become a real monster. I only paid 175 for mine on ebay, made by Therimin electronics brand new with all the same circuitry and parts as the originals. I hope this helped. :cool:

It probably was a Theremin he was thinking about, but there is another (slight) possibility. I bought something several years ago called a Dimension Beam; it's basically an infared MIDI controller. Hook it up to a synth with a portamento patch - instant Theremin! :D
