Lately when I try to open my Monitor Audio Window in Digital Performer, the entire program Quits and I get a message to restart my computer because a Type 1 / 2 Error has occurred. I have already allocated more memory to Digital Performer but the problem persists. Any other ideas? (BTW- I`m using version 2.7)
Is it me or is MOTU Tech Support "God awful"?

No, it's not just you; MOTU's tech support is pretty lame. The only suggestions I have are - 1) Trash your DP preferences & audio preferences 2) Re-build the desktop 3)Check to make sure virtual memory hasn't been accidentally turned on 4) If all else fails do a clean install of your OS and of DP . Just out of curiosity, when's the last time you ran a diagnostic/repair utility like Norton or TechToolPro? Do you defrag the HD each session? Do you use a dedicated audio drive? An audio session can get severely fragmented pretty quickly, and running a multi-channel digital audio app on the start-up drive is just asking for trouble. Maybe you are 2 steps ahead of me, but I'm trying to think of ANYTHING that might apply to your problem. I hope something helps.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for reply and suggestions. Yes, I actually have performed each of those tasks and Digital Performer is no longer acting up. It looks like I needed to simply allocate more memory to the program.
Yeah, what exactly is the deal with MOTUs Tech Support? (I thought it was me.)
Peace,

Try doubling your RAM allocation!
