Mixing in DP3

I am interested in switching from a Cubase set up to Digital Performer.

It seems to have everything I want in a program right now except automatic delay compensation.

With all the great MAS plug-ins available, do they introduce much delay to the signal when used as inserts or bus effects? Do to many plug-ins throw a mix out of sync?

The main plug-ins that I am interested in using are Waves and Metric Halo channelstrip. I plan to get a Powercore too and Uad-1 when mac drivers become available, but I already know about delay compensation issues with that.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanx.

Hi Red,

I use the Waves Gold Bundle with DP 2.7 and I love it! As far as any delay is concerned, the only type I experience is when I`m recording. If the buffer size is too large (anything over 256), I hear latency (or a delay). Thats about it. I have never experienced any sort of latency using a plug in. Hope this helps.
