How is the MPX-100? Is there something better in the same pricerange?

I use it in my live PA rig for a simple delay and wash of reverb. I feel it's beautiful for that. The Lexi reverb is very musical and easy on the ears. In the studio I think it would be rather limited as far as how many different things you could do.

Compared to the other things that are out there in the $200 range, the MPX-100 is the best one I've heard. Granted, it doesn't sound like a 480 or anything, but it holds its own in the mix on ancillary tracks without sounding overly cheap. I've used them when mixing in other people's project studios, and they're definitely warmer and fuller sounding than say, the Alesis MicroVerb IV or whatever.

I've got two of 'em in my studio.
Very nice for the price.
I use the gated reverbs all the time on snare.
One strange thing I've noticed though :
When I patch in the MPX100's into my DAW via my 24bit I/O's, I get an audible click at the very end of the reverb sound. It's almost like a punctuation mark.................!
No big deal though.
