This question goes out to all. Am interested in buying a Digital Mixer real soon and so far have been looking at the DM-24 recently released by Tascam. I've looked at every board on the market and for the price I think it's worth it. Unfortuantely can not find any feedback on the board from users. So I would love any and all feedback from users, techies, salespeople etc. on this board. Thanks for your help guys.

Welcome to the board! Well, I've had the opportunity to play around with the DM24 a bit. A little about my background being a recording engineer, I used to own a Panasonic DA7, later sold it for a Mackie Digital 8-bus, later sold it for (2) Roland VM7200's.... I've also done quite a bit of work on the 02R which is still going strong after all these years. I've never liked a Tascam digital mixer previous to the DM24 to be honest, but the DM24 definitely is quite different than from the past. If you visit my website at www.audioandmidi.com and go to the PRODUCTS SECTION and then to SMALL FORMAT DIGITAL MIXERS, you'll find a good place to look at what each board has to offer.
What are your needs exactly, I mean, what are you recording and mixing from/to?

Thanks for your quick reply Brad,
Okay I'm planning on using the board for both tracking and mixing. I'm using DP3 and ProTools LE 5.1 with limited outboard gear. I will be using the 2408 as my AD/DA converter along with a Digi001. I've used the O1v extensively and the d8B a little. Can't afford to pickup a d8B, the DA7 has no onboard effects, 02R is a possibility but the O1V is definately out because of all of it's handicaps. This leaves me mostly to the idea of the DM24 but no feedback on it is available except from local misinformed salespeople at Guitar Center. So I need to know all the drawbacks of the machine more then all the great hype that I can read from Tascams website. Thanks for your help guys. Scott
